Whainga Ako: understanding skills and importance of maintaining our maara and utilising our kihini.


During Week 7-9 we will be working our maintaining our maara and our kihini. Tamariki will come up with their own recipes using the kai from our maara.

Whainga Ako: understanding how to code a ROBOT to make it move


With the support of our Kaiawhina Amber our tuakana were able to code our school robots and make them move. Tamariki had a competition to see who could win a race they coded.

Whainga Ako: update on our GARDENS


Thank you to Harmony and Te Kiriahi for creating this presentation to share at Wairestoration Hui - where Enviroschools shared to everyone to show the AMAZING mahi we are currently working on at KWS.

Whainga Ako: korero Maori through pangarau kemu.


HUGE Thank-You to Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Kaikohe for inviting Room 15 to learn engaging kemu through korero Maori. Tamariki learnt so much pangarau and reo. 

Whainga Ako: code and create a robot.

Room 15 having been working alongside Whaea Amber to learn how to code our school ROBOTS. Whaea Amber has taught everyone how to create something and then code it to make it move. On Friday we were having competitions to see who could win a race we set up.
